Terms of use
These terms are between you and [seller entity name, address] ("we"). By using PaperRows you agree to them. We have kept them short and plain on purpose. If something here is unclear, ask us at hello@asgardagents.com.
What PaperRows is
PaperRows is a tool that reads certain bank statement PDFs in your browser and turns the transactions into CSV files. It reads text-based PDF statements for personal and small business checking accounts from Chase, Bank of America and Wells Fargo, as listed on our product page. It does not read other files and it tells you when it cannot.
PaperRows is independent. It is not made by, endorsed by or connected with any bank, or with Intuit or QuickBooks. Bank and product names are used only to describe which files we read and which format we write.
What PaperRows is not
- It is not accounting, tax or legal advice.
- It does not connect to your bank or post anything into your accounting software.
- It does not replace your own review. Look over the preview before you pay and before you rely on the rows. Every row shows the page and line it came from to make that easy.
Your files
You must have the right to use any statement you convert. Your statement is processed in your browser and is not sent to us (see the privacy policy). You are responsible for keeping your own copies of your files and downloads.
What you pay for
- Free preview. See the full table and the checks panel at no cost. No account needed.
- One statement, $5. Unlocks the CSV downloads for one statement file. You can download the same file again for 24 hours after paying.
- Bookkeeper, $19 a month. Unlocks downloads for up to 100 statements in each monthly billing period. Each statement download counts once toward the 100. Downloading the same statement again within 24 hours does not count again; a download after that counts as a new one. Your count resets when your next billing period starts. Once you reach 100, the next download is not charged automatically: we show you the date your count resets and offer a separate $5 unlock for that one statement. It renews each month until you cancel. Cancel any time from the billing page (the Stripe customer portal); you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Unused statements do not carry over.
Prices are in US dollars and may change. A price change never applies to a payment you have already made.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe's own terms apply to the payment itself.
Refunds
Our refund rule is on the refund policy page and is part of these terms. In short: a wrong, missing or extra row in a supported statement gets a full refund, and so does a file we refuse after you paid.
Fair use
Please do not:
- try to get around the payment step or share unlock tokens publicly,
- resell PaperRows output as a conversion service without asking us first,
- overload or attack the site, or try to get at other people's data,
- use PaperRows for anything illegal, including converting statements you have no right to.
We may stop serving anyone who does these things. If we cancel a monthly plan for this reason, we will refund the current month.
Things we cannot promise
We work hard to get every row right, and we check the totals we extract against the totals printed on the statement before we let you export. Matching totals cannot prove every row is right, software can be wrong, and banks change their statement layouts. So:
- PaperRows is provided as it is. We do not promise it will suit every purpose or always be available.
- If a conversion is wrong, your remedy is the refund described on the refund policy page. We will also work on fixing the converter.
- To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you for anything to do with PaperRows is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem happened. We are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits or the cost of fixing your books, that come from relying on rows you did not check.
Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we update the date at the top. Changes apply from that date and do not affect payments made before it.
