Works with
Checking statements, as the original bank PDF. Scans, password-protected files, credit cards and savings statements are not supported yet. A statement that combines checking and savings is read only where your bank's help page says so. If something goes wrong after paying, the refund rule covers it.

Checked against the totals on your statement
PaperRows adds up what it found and compares it with the totals printed on the statement, and shows you where each value came from. If a check fails, we tell you which one and stop the preview and download.
Matching totals cannot prove every row is right, so look over the preview before you pay.

PaperRows reads the PDF in your browser. The file and what is in it are never uploaded.

Vercel, which hosts the site, keeps logs of requests to our server code. The privacy policy says what is in them and how long everything is kept.

The preview is free and runs in your browser. Prices in US dollars, paid through Stripe.
Soon we will start noting whether a purchase came from one of our ads or search pages. We will keep that source with the purchase in our database for 90 days. Read how this will work in our privacy policy.

Bookkeeper
$19a month
- Up to 100 counted statement downloads per billing period. Plain CSV and QuickBooks Online CSV included.
- Downloading the same PDF file in either format does not count again for 24 hours after the download that counted, within the same billing period.
- After 100 counted downloads, another download that would count needs a separate $5 purchase. No automatic overage charge.
- Renews monthly until you cancel on the Stripe billing page
Both paid options give the same two files: a plain CSV and a QuickBooks Online CSV for its upload from file option. There is no Excel (.xlsx), QBO or OFX file, and PaperRows does not connect to QuickBooks.
PaperRows is a product of Fenrir Foundation, so Stripe checkout shows that name.
If a row is wrong, you get your money back
Read the refund policy.
Any wrong, missing or extra row in a supported statement: full refund.
A file we refuse after you paid: full refund.
First purchase: ask within 7 days of paying, for any reason.
Bookkeeper: if you exported nothing in your latest billing month, we refund that month.
Questions
Do I need an account?
No. The preview needs nothing, and paying is a Stripe checkout. The Bookkeeper plan is tied to the email you use there.
Why could my PDF not be read?
The message on screen says why and what to try next. Your bank's help page above has the details.
Does it work with QuickBooks?
Download the QuickBooks Online CSV and upload it yourself. We have not run that import end to end yet, so the import guide explains the steps. Other accounting tools have not been tested.
How do I report a problem?
Write to hello@asgardagents.com with the bank, the statement month, and the page and line, or the check that failed. Please do not attach the statement.
